Live Longer And healthier Through Qigong Breathing

August 24, 2016 By admin Leave a Comment

Not many things in life are easy. I can understand why someone wouldn’t want to put the time in to become proficient in Kung Fu. However, it boggles my mind that folks would rather suffer through life rather than live through life. So many people today suffer through different health related issues needlessly because A. western medicine doesn’t really recognize things like Qigong and B. often times people just never heard about it.

My question for you is: If you knew there was a low impact low cost way to improve your overall health for life would you do it? Surprisingly it’s been my experience that many will say yes but only a small handful of people will actually do it.

Qigong is an ancient Chinese philosophy that focuses on manipulating energy or “life force” for preventive and curative purposes. Considered alternative medicine, qigong is touted to lead to the connection of mind, body and spirit.

“Qigong is energy that is beneficial to the body. However, not everybody can be healed by qigong,” said Professor Wan Su Jian, 59, director of the Chinese Taoist Medical Qigong Bagua XunDao Gong Headquarters and the World Qigong Medical Council Expert Committee. Learn Tai Chi Chuan

Tai Chi Chuan has been known by many different names. One of the more common ones is called the “Supreme Ultimate Fist“.  Tai Chi’s origins like many things lost to history is shrouded in mystery. Some things I’ve read date Tai Chi to the 1800’s others date the orgins back even further. The reality is it really is hard to date any of the martial arts because we can see instances of martial arts throughout antiquity.

Ancient Martial ArtsWhile many martial artist will tell you that their system started at such and such date or that their style originated from such and such place I believe their is a much bigger picture. I believe that martial arts has been passed down from generation to generation since the beginning of time.  Because there is so much information it’s up to you the student to study all the information and see where it leads you.

I caution you though to take everything you read with a grain of salt. Unfortunately things like ego and pride jade the truth. So you will have to look at all the data that we have available and decide for yourself what sounds true to you.  [Read more…]

All Tai Chi styles have some form of Qigong in their training. Doing Chi Gung is the warm up for doing the Tai Chi Form. I has been my experience that if you do practice Chi Gung (Qigong) one of the side effects is your body needs less sleep.

It is said that the minds move the chi, it has also been my experience that before I felt chi I had to imagine I did. Once I made the connection I was able to more freely feel chi move through my body.
